Vacation season is nearly upon us. I know I saw my Dad just last week polishing the old family RV like he was getting ready for something big. He’s had it for a few years and it still runs great. We love taking vacations with the extended family in the roomy RV. I did, with all do respect, make a slight suggestion for the RV before we pile the kids in. An RV backup camera seemed like a good addition.
My father, ever stubborn and always old fashioned, protested at first. He is an excellent driver and I reassured him of that. But I pointed out how an RV backup camera system could be helpful in dealing with “all of those other dimwit drivers on the road.” Basically, I was speaking his language. By appealing to his own sense that the world is full of dangerous drivers I managed to get him looking into a back up camera system. Before long he seemed pretty excited about the idea and we quickly found the one we wanted and had it installed. He says it was one of the best purchases of his life. That he enjoys the added sense of safety and what’s more, he thinks the camera is pretty cool.
