I am thinking of renovating my HDB kitchen. I can't decide between solid top and post form laminate top. Post form laminate top is cheaper and looks good but kind of hollow if you knock on it but solid top quite dull and not shiny, looks jaded and old, can solid top be grinded down and be shiny again after a few years? Has anybody done that and what is the result?

I like solid tanks whether it is hard to know it off because it is looks good on the kitchen and things out there. But it depends to your furniture of your kitchen choose which of them looks good.
