After hunting for 2 months or so, been to many id firms, after short list a few id firms, I have sign up with Benson Lo from Benzdesign Studio, He was so detailed unlike some of the so call contractors who claim to be an id, Benson was so different, while talking to us, he could draw out free hand and explain to us abt the whole house lay out and concepts. The designs he propose to us is not fancy but simple ,modern.We love his ideas. its totally different from the others ,as in the others would follow as what we want.

Im Chen Jiang Zhuang, im a permament resident (PR) in Singapore, I have been staying in singapore for 8 years. i have just got married and had bought a resale HDB flat. Pardon me for my poor english. I would like to share my joy to those who really want to renovate their house. I would like to recommend this renovation company Benzdesign studio, Id Benson Lo.We are searching around for an id or contractor to renovate our house. We went to many renovation companies in Singapore. We had been waiting for the quotation for our house for quite some time. It have been many weeks but only 2 id responsed to me. The price of the renovation is very high given by one of them. the other quotation is incomplete,,,

We are stress and totally lost. in singapore, We had no one to turn too.Whenever we spoke to the Id, when we told them that we are a china national, They would just try to cut short our conversation and sent us out in a very nice way.

My Shipyard shift manager recommended Benson Lo to me. Benson is very patient and he explain to us about the material use for our renovation.
He suggested to us many ways. We have taken up alot of his time. We ask and ask a lot of quotations and We are also like everyone else in Singapore who likes our house to be done with new modern interior concepts.

We admitted that before the renovation process finish, we want things in our own way and we felt that we were harsh on him. He really is very paitent and help us to complete our renovation process neatly and in time. We are unware that there is no 100% workmanship in the renovation. Before he hand over the house to us. We are pleased and happy as we seen 99% of the touch up work done up by him. I will soon post my new design modern house to show everyone.

The next day, we saw the 3D drawings of the whole house amended by him, we were extremely happy as the concept was wonderfully done and the wall papers naturally blend into the heels of the modern luxury suite. We never expect that Benson had created a dare devil look for our house. We really take our hats of him. He had really put in extra effort to ensure that our house appear nice.

Just imagine the feeling of getting a better option with the same price rate that we had never expect;his services and experience level! We showed several pals our 3d drawings and they were amazed with them all too!

Hi my house is a HDB 3room resale flat at serangoon 300+ ave 2. I bought over this Flat and it is 16 years old. I went around looking for someone to renovate my place. I been through so many id firms and contractor offices. I have been around looking for house design and good price. in my hands, there are over 16 quotations not simply by email, but visiting showflats. For all the showflats ive been visiting, they don't have the design i have in mind, everything is the same . Example the layout, i gave to an id, We need to tell them what we want, and they really do that. Everything is copy and paste. nothing new.They could not give me what i really want.Further more the price of the reno quotes are so expensive.

For me, i do not go for the cheapest because i actually looking for simply and modern kind of look. I began to search through singapore renovation web pages online.
When i looked into the googles search, i began to type Singapore Highly recommended popular Id. There it was BenzDesign Studio, the young Id with the name of Benson Lo.That was very interesting. I do up my research and found out that He is even more popular then in the Singapore renovation web pages.

At our serangoon neighbourhood, My house unit is very popular. Most of my neighbours said that my house is really very very nice and they have been talking abt it. its been spreading ard the area.

One of the neighbours in the estate told me that Serangoon is an old estate and the interior is starting to be falling apart. The walls and floors are hollow in many areas. They said that wow your house can do until like tat is very very nice. They began to ask more details abt my reno and my id.

My house renovation works was done up qutie sometime ago, I recieved calls from Benson Lo . He once awhile called me up to ask abt my well being and my house. Sometimes, we had a short conversation. I did told him that the lan cable open net men will come to my place to cut up my false ceiling, He said need not to worry as he would patch it up and paint it up for me for foc.I offered him payment for it and he refused. Ok, finally wrapping up our renovation it had been smooth. It took a abt 5 weeks to overhaul the place,100% maKE over.
We can't believe it really at first. Benson Lo gave us a good renovation deal and had been responsible, responsive and professional through the entire renovation period. I encountered lots of nonsense (rubbish quotes, bochap attitudes etc) in my hunting process for an ID. Decided to go with Benzdesign Studio for their professionalism, no-nonsense quote and patience.

When engaging renovation contractpors, always remember to work with a contractor with the relevant experience.

Last month, I entrust my renovation of my flooring and the installation of a sgoe cabinet to a young man from a "TAU design ... .. ' at Tampines st 44, that's where mt nightmare begins......

i WANTED MY FLOORING TO BE RUSTIC WITH CEMENT LIKE FINISHING. The contractor in question told us confidently that he had undertaken such jobs and showed as images from his computers!!

Ultimataely, The flooring at the corridoor is even better looking than that of my hall's. Yet, the contractor told me that" It's like that! You have to walk for a long time than the floor will be smooth." Gee !!! I have to 'smoothen and polish' my floor with my bare feet....

The contractor in question runs a 'one man' show and we gave him the business as we wanted to support vendors and shop-owners in our little neighbourhood.

What do we get in return ? NIGHTMARES ! SUCKING ATTITUDES AND BAD FEELINGS.

Remember- before you engage a contractor, check on his credentials ; - how many years of experience and get him to write down what materials he'll be using, especially for water treatment . Completion time must be stated clearly or you'll be send on a wild goose chase like me!

I have meet up with Benson Lo yesterday at his office yesterday, He is a young chap who could really give you alot of design concept. Im very surpraise that he could really propose and draw out many design concept on the spot that i never seen before. through out the search of the id process, he is quite different from among all. He is so well verse and i actually would take my hats of him.

The minute i step onto Benzdesign Studio and meet up with Benson Lo on that day,I shake hands and i left him a remark saying that every ids i met claimed to be a design consultant, home stylish and bur bur bur... but till now i really have not met someone who is actually an id. All are contractors whom i met keep on claiming to be an id but are actually so call contractors. After Benson Lo heard this sentence, he just smile and told me to sit down and he would go to the photocopy machine and take out pieces of A3 size paper and he began our discussion. Benson Lo smile and said," have you met an real id before?" I was alarmed by him at that time. Our discussion seems to last more then hours. The design concept he propose is totally different from all the others, He would propse and use colour of laminate samples and soft furnishing to express the design theme and concept of my house layout. I was totally out of words. Benson Lo have made my whole house a centre of extraction. Every bedrooms, living room and even the kitchen area. I seem to be dreaming and wonder how he do it.

I work as a property agent for years and i work with contractors and ids, none is as good as him. He also advise me to cut cost on certain things that need not to be spent. He said that he would draft out a quotation base on our discussion. I am amazed, i told him its ok , i will meet up with him sometime next week. While Benson Lo send me to the main door of his office, he smiled and ask me to take back my words as i said just now earlier on the minute i shake hands with him. We laugh together then i told him to give me a best price for my house quotation.

What my friends said about Benson Lo is indeed true. He is so professional and he is so well verse in design concept. I really take my hats off him. I hope that Benson Lo will give me a good price for my house renovation quotation. I know that he is not the cheapest among all but he is worth paying. Hope to meet up with him to look onto my quotation before i sign up with him.

I have met up with benson Lo, he is really indeed different from the other ids.
Been through the first disscussion. So far, we felt that he is experience in this trade and he is very well verse in the home designs. We were be meeting up with him next week for our quotation

We are appointed for en block to stay. We are very happy as to say good bye to our old flat. We are anxious to have an en block . We have a new 4 room flat. Its time for us to souce around for the renovation for our house unit. We got to look for floor tiles for our bedroom and some carpentry works. We look through the renovation web pages to look for an id. This time round, We have decided to go for something different this time round. We started to buy magazines and books as to have ideas to renovate our house. We avoid contractors as we have been hearing alot of story about them. We went to many id firms as we do not get what we want. Whatever we want, the id would take down the notes and therefore come out with the quotations. We have been comparing around. Most of the id firms does not give us fresh ideas. its alll the same. Later on , My friends recommended Benson Lo to me as they have their house done up by him. They would show me their house designs photos through their i phones. The even we look into the photos, it was actually what we are looking for, new design concept to match our house. We started to book an appointment with Benson Lo to our new flat to take a look ard and to take measurements.

After seeing through the house, Benson Lo would use his pen & writting broad and start to drew out on the spot to show us the design concepts of our house. We are amazed as no all the ids we met could draw on the spot and could think of many ideas for our house concept. He would start to use colours and theme to play along the house for us.
We began to meet up for the following week to discuss for our house design renovation quotation. After Benson Lo placed the quotation before us, we will start to flip to the last page of the quotation to see the final figures. We are happy as its not as high as we really thought. We then start to go through the contract item by item. During the discussion, he would start to propose design theme to our. He also explain to us that we should not base on the pervious layout as we insisted at first. We are happy with his services. As its our first time renovating my house. We are lost. Benson Lo would take a lot of time and effort to make us understand what is going on.

In the renovation process, We often come to our new house to ensure things that are on going. Most of the time we saw Benson Lo there looking through the works done by his contractors. Whenever he see us, he start to smile and he began to tell us not to worry. During the week ends, Benson Lo would start to bring us out to get stuffs for our house. He also recommended soft furishing for our house concept. We can really see all the effort and time that he put in.

After to renovation, We are happy with the design concept as what Benson Lo proposed. We thanks him alot for his help to come out with design ideas for our house. All my friends and relatives who visited our house said that our house design is very nice.
It was worth paying for Benson Lo services. After seeing through all the quotation that we perviously have on hand. Benson's quotation may not be the cheapest but its really worth paying. I'm also lucky to have him as my id. after all all my hard work of soucing for an id really pays off. We manage to find the right person to do up our nest.
My neighbours are pleased with our house design layout and they started to ask for Benson Lo's handphone number. so far for what i know, They signed up with Benson and their house is in the mid of the renovation process.

Even thou, there is hiccup eg tilter arrived late, floor skirting not balance. But before i could spot it, Benson spotted them all and immediately called up his man (in front of me). He insisted that immediate work. I was glad that he did not covered the problem and yet brought them up to my knowledge. Another issue we faced was the mover whom we engaged by ourselves but on the very date, this mover company did not answer our call since morning and only responded to us in the afternoon. Fortunately, we were like complainting to Benson and he told us not to worry and let him contact his friend. Thanks God that his pal recommended someone for us on that later afternoon and we managed to move in to our new place.
After all, it all depend on the bond between yourself and the id. Make sure u r confident of him and do not hesitate to share your ideas or bring up any concept that you do not like, bec this gonna be a place you stay for a period of time.

I also got to knw this firm thru forumer and same like you, i was wondering how good this man could be or that bound to be real good ones out there rather than him alone. However,sad to say that several firms that i meet up with just could not provide the information or service that i required; first, proactiveness, 2nd: professionalism, 3rd: responsive, 4th: flexibility, etc. All that were brought to my sight was quotation and $ before going further into the next step. One thing that pissed me off was the arrogance attitude of one of the id from North...
Benson was probably the 4th id that i met up with and it was a diff feeling. My wife was satisfied with his work and came back home searching more info from the net about him; we realised his compliments and positive reviews from several forums and thus decided to go with him.

No one knows better than ourselves for what we want... The only way to get is to find out.

Even though it was a long discussion into the night but It was all worthwhile especially for someone like me who do not have any idea how the process goes. I viewed several of his portfolio and was keen to use one of his existing design but this man told me that he will come up with another similar design for me since now he knew what I wanted. That rather impressed me. Frankly speaking, I didn't really believe that much when I see so many forumer supporting him but upon meeting him, I knew why was that so. That was probably because he was really an approachable man who clearly prove his capability and experience in the trade. Now, I just got to hope that his quotation wouldn't be within 'reach' ha

I just did my painting with Singapore Painting (http://www.paintersingapore.com) and kitchen cabinet by Cabinet Kitchen (http://www.singaporekitchencabinet.com).

Service and workmanship is good.
They came back to do the painting touch up for me when i requested for it.

The only bad thing is the painter is late for almost 30 mins and i have to wait 30 mins. Other than that, i would say they are quite good.

I wouldn't recommend Creative Design, because of them I suffered from spinal injury which lasted 2 years with exorbitant medical/massage costs due to MRI scanning etc. I engaged them as they were located close to my home and I noticed their posting at my neighbours home. Thinking that the home looked not too bad, I engaged them for my house renovation.

The first WHOLE WEEK nothing was done except for painting and for the WHOLE 3 room flat they sent a 70+ year old uncle with magnifying eye-glasses for spectacles. This old man could not move the furniture so I ENDED UP moving ALL the furniture while he painted including the king sized bed. Shifting it about I realised I caused injury to my lumbar 4 spine.

I had to cover all my furniture and become the assistant for the old man as there was no one appearing. Only in the 2nd week did the windows get demolished and changed to powder coating window. They made one cabinet and it was constructed totally wrong and they had to send it back to the workshop. Once it came back, the China carpenter had to further modify on the spot and the edgings were not laminated. They kept phoning the worker to return back to the workshop though the poor soul was kind to try to help finish the job. They punctured my sliding door of my bathroom door and took my SGD4,250+ and never gave a receipt for TWO WHOLE YEARS whilst I was calling their office every month for it and plus Desmond (owner) came only twice to the project 2nd time was to collect payment. 5 months ago when I called him for the receipt, he said the old man complained I was asking him to do many things. Old guy's job was only painting and I HAD TO ASSIST HIM TO COVER (plus buy all the plastic covers out of my own pocket) AND MOVE ALL THE FURNITURE AROUND as I felt pity seeing him struggle no doubt I was the one paying. Whenever I called Desmond why no one is there to assist his excuse was that the old man is capable to paint the whole flat. I had to be extra extra nice to the old man as I had already paid the deposit and the place was a mess and so did whatever I could to see to the end of the job. In the end the old man even messed up my corridor with white paint and splashed thinner on some walls whilst washing his brushes so all the stains are visible todate.

Lesson learnt have engaged a professional to undo all these nasty reminders left being by Creative Design. Would like to forget the whole ordeal as I finally managed to get my receipt only couple of week ago. Got my quotation and Yes, going for Benz Design. It's a reasonable quote but not the cheapest among the few firms that I had shortlisted. However, it's worth it if the quality and service obtained and provided is of excellent result. Now gonna pray for smooth reno works and great comfortable place to stay in. Can't wait for that!

I just did my painting with Singapore Painting (http://www.paintersingapore.com) and kitchen cabinet by Cabinet Kitchen (http://www.singaporekitchencabinet.com).

Service and workmanship is good.
They came back to do the painting touch up for me when i requested for it.

The only bad thing is the painter is late for almost 30 mins and i have to wait 30 mins. Other than that, i would say they are quite good.

I also got to knw this firm thru forumer and same like you, i was wondering how good this man could be or that bound to be real good ones out there rather than him alone. However,sad to say that several firms that i meet up with just could not provide the information or service that i required; first, proactiveness, 2nd: professionalism, 3rd: responsive, 4th: flexibility, etc. All that were brought to my sight was quotation and $ before going further into the next step. One thing that pissed me off was the arrogance attitude of one of the id from North...
Benson was probably the 4th id that i met up with and it was a diff feeling. My wife was satisfied with his work and came back home searching more info from the net about him; we realised his compliments and positive reviews from several forums and thus decided to go with him.

No one knows better than ourselves for what we want... The only way to get is to find out.

My husband and I decided to engage Ken Lee from Summit Design Studio after narrowing our choices. It was an impromptu meet up with Ken at first as we decided to drop by Summit Design to see the showroom. Hi, it all depends on the 'chemistry' you have with the id you meet. If you feel comfortable and is fine with the discussion, then you can go ahead with making the final decision. If not, try another firm.
To me, Benz Design's id does not seem to be one whom is only into making $ out of homeowners plus I like the proposal, therefore, i chose them.

Indeed, it was a fruitful discussion with Benson from Benz Design. :)
Even though it was a long discussion into the night but It was all worthwhile especially for someone like me who do not have any idea how the process goes. I viewed several of his portfolio and was keen to use one of his existing design but this man told me that he will come up with another similar design for me since now he knew what I wanted. That rather impressed me. Frankly speaking, I didn't really believe that much when I see so many forumer supporting him but upon meeting him, I knew why was that so. That was probably because he was really an approachable man who clearly prove his capability and experience in the trade. Now, I just got to hope that his quotation wouldn't be within 'reach' ha

An interior designer wouldn't want to reuse any design for new owner unless they just want to earn $.

Its been a while... Has been rather busy and finally got a short break! So, its about time to write a short testimony for my id firm- Benz Design Studio.
My family and I are glad to have decided to engage Benson from Benz Design. We are thanksful to both Benson and Jason for their great help thru out the whole renovation process. They were flexible to make decision accordingly to situation and get things done, even though there is hiccup such as replacement of laminate material for the carpentry work or even plastering touch up, they never fail to meet my expectation. In fact, at times when I thought the condition was more than good but then Benson insist that his worker have work re-do or material replaced. That is what my wife has been praising about both of them.
Eventually, now, we appreciate what they had provided, the product as well as their service level is what I would recommend to my pals and family member too. Good job, Benson and Jason. Thank you.

However, we confirmed on Benz Design bec benson was the only id that discuss in details of everything with us (that was more than 3 hrs) whereas others were merely probably an hr and wanted to collect deposit fr us so as to have further discussion. We were glad that we did not sign up with them bec as a client, when i wasnt even sure of what will be provided and have to pay money; was rather inappropiate for us (i dont know if that's the procedure). But after meeting Benson (we waited sometime), he did not ask us to confirm with him and told us to think before making decision, yet on that same day he gave us all sort of details that we wanted to know. That's y i trusted him and engaged him. utimately, we appreciate his assistance and not forgetting jason whom alway appear immediately when we called him/ benson. That's the service I am looking for and am glad that i have their assistance. Thanks alot Benson and Jason.. Happy New Year and continue to provide such services to all other.
